Recently, a court filing was revealed recently that Apple co-founder late Steve Jobs sent an email to former Google chief Eric Schmidt requesting an end to worker poaching. The email was launched in the March 2007, specifically asked Google to put a stop to its active recruitment of an unnamed Apple engineer and alluded to stop worker poaching in general according to a report from Reuters.

Some of the text of Jobs email was “would be very pleased if your recruiting department would stop doing this”. Schmidt was the part of Apple’s board of director at the time to which the email was sent. Schmidt quickly turned around and forwarded the correspondence to certain undisclosed members of Google’s staff, including a staffing director who responded that the employee responsible for the recruitment would be “terminated within the hour.” Apparently, the unnamed staffing manager also asked that his apologies be conveyed to Jobs for his actions.

This news came into lime light because of a civil litigation stemming from a Justice Department probe. The probe investigated the anti-poaching practices of Google, Apple, Adobe Systems, Intel, Intuit Inc., and Pixar. Actually in 2009, Apple and Google reportedly created an unofficial agreement to not poach each other’s workers, resulting in the antitrust investigation. All six of the companies involved settled with the Justice Department in 2010 by agreeing to a five year moratorium on “no solicitation agreements.”

During the heading of this week, a civil suit claims from five software engineers who are accusing the companies of colluding to keep employees’ salaries low by eliminating labor competition. In future the case may split into different class action lawsuits and this can continue

I always seem to be looking for the perfect all-round device. In today’s age, we have so many options when it comes to laptops, tablets, and phones.

So which device a person should choose? Why have a tablet and a phone when you could maximize productivity with one device?

The Galaxy Note is the first device that fits the bill (in my opinion). The screen at 5.3″ is the perfect size to fit in basically any jean pocket. It is powerful enough to run just about anything you throw at it, with the 1.4Ghz Dual Core Exynos processor. With it’s super AMOLED 800*1280 display, text and pictures simply pop. You also get much more use out of the screen for real estate. Enough about all the juicy specs this beast has, and to the point.

For me, having to tote around two devices to work everyday just seems like redundancy while impairing streamline productivity.  For example, if I’m on the road for work and need the extra screen space or batter life, I switch to the iPad. The problem with any tablet is that it is they are still heavy and tend to be awkward at times, and are unable to fit in a front pocket, therefore requiring further purchases for cases, screen protectors etc. Along with that we all know, most tablets cannot make phone calls. If you don’t have the 3G model you will need to either have a broadband WIFI card, or fork out the additional costs your carrier charges to tether your smartphone.

The Note is the first device that I can honestly say can comfortably fill the void of a tablet and my phone. I can watch HD movies and play any game that I like from the market place, with ease. Shadowgun looks simply awesome on this device by the way, along with a handful of other games. You of course have plenty of productivity apps to use from the Android Market to edit office documents on the go, and view PDF files with ease. If you haven’t already seen the Note’s screen in person, you must see it to believe how the colors literally POP off the screen. The camera also takes great 8MP shots, and also records 1080P. I thought it took excellent photos and videos, very similar to the Galaxy S ll.

There is one more trick up the Note’s sleeve. It retains a Stylus type device called the S Pen, which slides out the bottom of the device. Samsung included a cool app called the S Memo. With this app you can jot down notes, draw, sketch and even add pictures. There are a bunch of different mode options to choose from such as:  pencil, paintbrush or highlighter modes. Probably the coolest action you can do with it is when in maps or on a favored website, you can simply hit the small button on the S Pen and it will capture that screen shot. This will then bring you into S Memo allowing you to add notes, highlight routes or edit the screen shot. Another plus is the 2500mAh battery. I found on average, the battery provides approximately nine hours of continuous use. This is above any current smartphone out right now.

I think this might be the first device out that fills these voids. Some might find it to be larger than their liking, while others will come to enjoy the extra screen size. I found that it grew on me the more I used it. The case may be the same for you.

Apple Ipad’s presence is thriving in the enterprise tablet market. Because of this, Apple has enormous share of enterprise tablet market as compare to its competitors.

The search engine giant is now focusing on the music industry. To compete against the competitors like iTunes store and the Amazon store, Google is signing many record labels and publishers for the licensing. The initial negotiations will allow the Google to open up their next music store and to enhance the limited features of Google Music Beta.

There is no certain news about the launch of the music store, but it is expected that it will hit the web in next couple of weeks. Google is planning to open its own music store before the launch of Apple’s iTunes match, the major cloud based music program. Being failed of acquiring the licenses from the major publishers, Google opened a down version called Music Beta in the May. Now it needs to be expanded to a complete featured music store. The music labels guys are not seem to be curios of selling the copy rights to Google because they don’t think Google is able to complete the deals with other labels and publishers for license agreements and other legal stuff. One of the publisher executive told that they don’t want the locker to become the bastion of piracy. Amazon already had a unlicensed version of such service called the Cloud Drive before five weeks of launch of Google music Beta.
