Dell Lightning: Dell’s huge comeback!

Dell’s new smartphone, the ‘Lightning’  personally seems to be an amazing comeback for Dell, having been absent from the smartphone market for quite some time now…   And the best thing about it is that it would be running on Windows Phone 7! It will probably come come at the end of this year, equipped with:

  • Portrait sliding QWERTY keyboard
  • A 4.1″ WVGA OLED touchscreen display
  • 3G (for both AT&T and T-Mobile)
  • Wi-Fi
  • GPS
  • compass
  • accelerometer
  • 1GB of ROM
  • 512MB of RAM
  • 1GHz Snapdragon processor
  • A 5MP autofocus camera
  • Flash Support

Dell Mobile Phone Confirmed…China Only

Mobilecrunch has confirmed the existance of a dell mobile device to be named mini3i. The mini3i is reported a specific type of android device known as an OPhone. Lenovo and HTC will also be developing a OPhone platform. According to Mobilecrunch:

All Ophones will support TD-SCDMA (Time Division Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access), a China-only 3G standard, which means it will be hard to get the Dell Ophone to work outside China.
