The U116T Hybrid tablet by CZC Tech is expected to enter in the market pretty soon. Experts think that this will bring a great competition with the existing tablets. However, some do not want to define this new device as a tablet; rather they want to define it as an Ultrabook. In fact we can call it a hybrid that has far more functionality to offer than a plain and simple tablet.

Have you heard of the Transformer Prime from Asus? This new device in fact falls into the similar category. If you detach the additional keyboard, it becomes a tablet. The main difference is in the OS both these devices use. The Ultrabook from CZC Tech uses windows OS while the Primer uses the usual ICS OS based on Android 4.0. The U116T by CZC Tech will have Ivy Bridge processor with the latest technology. But the model or the chipset type of this processor is not yet announced. However, some are assuming that it will probably be a Core i3 3225. This one is a CPU of dual core which has a clock speed of a maximum of 3.4 GHz. There is an integrated graphics processors bundled with this CPU. To avoid the overheating problems with the upgraded versions of the processors, they might be avoiding them for the tablet.

Display Panel and RAM:

There will a RAM of 4GB paired with the Ivy Bridge processor. And the display of this tablet will be 13.3 inches with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. And since the screen is able to read your fingerprint, you can use biometric locking for the device.


The storage will be similar to tablets like the 16, 32 or 64 GB. Besides, there are USB ports like 2.0 and 3.0 and a micro SD slot to add additional storage. Ethernet port and 3.5 mm headphone jack is also available for the users. Although the pricing of this device is not disclosed yet, it is assumed that this information will be out within a week or so.
