We have good news for all the Sony devices owners. Sony has released the roadmap of Android upgrade. Sony has announced the details on its official blog and the Japanese manufacturer has announced the upgrade plan for 4.4 Kitkat and 4.3 Jelly Bean roll-out.

With this Kitkat upgrade announcement, Sony becomes the first smartphone manufacturer to reveal the upgrade cycle plan. In the first phase, the Android 4.4 Kitkat will be released for Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra and the Xperia Tablet Z.

Previously, Sony has promised to release the 4.3 Jelly Bean for its devices. Now Sony is going to release the 4.3 Jelly Bean for devices include Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia SP, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and the Xperia Tablet Z during the next month.

Also Sony has mentioned that Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V will get the 4.3 Jelly Bean update too. All these upgrades will be available region by region.

The best feature of Kitkat is that it can be fit to the devices having as little as 512 MB of RAM. Google has mentioned during the Kitkat announcement that the operating is designed to scale and automatically fit on the devices with minimum of 512 RAM. If you are having anyone of the above mentioned devices then you will be able to get the update soon, but if your device is not mentioned in the above list then you might have to wait more.
