The HTC Desire C was officially announced on Tuesday and the pre-orders available at the UK retailer Clove’s. It is the most affordable smartphone to run the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The HTC Desire C is a lower-midrange smartphone, but the fact that it runs the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system makes it unique (for now) in this class. It’s also pretty affordable for the specs, so it should really sell very well.

The other features include:

  • 3.5-inch 320×480 touchscreen HVGA display
  • 600MHz processor
  • 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage
  • microSD card support
  • 5MP shooter
  • HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth
  • Beats Audio
  • 1,230 mAh battery

HRC Desire C will be available soon in the other European countries.
