For the last day or two, there had been rumors that HTC had made a plan of upgrading members for its One series smartphone with the Android operating system 4.1 Jelly Bean from Google. HTC has now announced that they are planning the software update for the HTC One XL, HTC One X, and the HTC One S. All these mobile devices have been announced earlier this year in the Mobile World Congress with the operating system Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich along with the HTC Sense.
With the press report, HTC Company has mentioned that, the company knows pretty well about the excitement of all HTC fans as they are going to receive the Google’s latest operation system of Android. At this moment, the company has also confirmed that, they have plans for upgrading their HTC One series to Jelly Bean.
The HTC One XL has been released in the United States under the surveillance of AT&T, with the usage of trailing L on their naming scheme to signify LTE connectivity system. This Smartphone is quite similar with the international version of HTC One X. But the main difference is that, HTC One X developed with quad core Tegra 3 chipset, but HTC One XL has made with the suitability for QualComm’s production of Dual core Snapdragon S4 CPU, and got a proper support for 4G LTE network of AT&T. The HTC One S has been released in the United States under the surveillance of T-Mobile in USA.
Likely, these types of upgrades, and the time of the releasing will certainly be dependent on certification and carrier testing. With the latest upgrade of software, especially major series, all these carriers will have to evaluate the whole software package for making sure that, the user will have a positive experience, and the handsets will work swiftly on their specified networks. However, the HTC One X has been available in the Sprint network as the HTC EVO 4G LTE connectivity with a different hardware system along with some various casings.
Although, it has been almost 9 month since the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich released, the updating progress on both high end and mid range devices has been quite slow. Every popular manufacturing company has got at least couples of their latest gadgets running with the latest version of Android operating system. Therefore, not many tech critics have been surprised with the releasing of Jelly Bean.
